This year’s Acad. Cristofor Simionescu contest will be held on 20 November by the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Environmental Protection. This is the ninth edition of the competition and the second one held fully online.
900 students from 122 high schools in Romania and the Republic of Moldova will be attending the competition, coordinated by 180 professors. The participants will compete both individually and in teams.
During the contest, the professors will attend an online workshop with the aim of consolidating relationships between high school and university representatives.
The event will also include two conferences, Portraits of Romanian chemists by acad. Bogdan Simionescu, Vice-president of the Romanian Academy, and The green planet – an unfulfilled dream (?) by prof. Maria Gavrilescu, Director of TUIASI Doctoral School.
After the contest, the high school students are invited to a presentation about the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Environmental Protection with alumni and business and industry representatives.
