Every year, on the night of 2 April, the Department of Machine Tools at the Faculty of Machine Manufacturing and Industrial Management is lit up in blue.
This is done in honor of World Autism Awareness Day, in a campaign coordinated by the National Association for Children and Adults with Autism from Romania – Iași (ANCAAR).
“Every year, on 2 April, we light up the whole building, which is a symbol for the city of Iași, near Bahlui river and TUIASI rectorate building. We chose this building because it already uses blue tones in its architectural design and during the night, when it’s also lit up in blue, it’s a wonderful sight”

The seven story building was lit up in blue between 21.00 – 06.00.
