Between 15th and 19th October 2018 in Iasi, Romania, the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi, as partner of the European project under the Erasmus+ – Strategic Partnerships Programme, project entitled “Mobile youth peer mentoring application to facilitate distance mentoring guidance for youth with disabilities” (MyPeerMentor), No. 2017-1-TR01-KA205-039752, organized the Third Transnational Project Meeting of the project partners as well as the Second Blended Mobility action for young mentors.
During the transnational meeting of the partners were presented the achievements of the project from April to October 2018, as well as the tasks and activities for October 2018 – March 2019. The fourth transnational partner meeting will be held in Osmaniye, Turkey, in March 2019, an action to be organized by partner „Osmaniye Provincial Directorate of National Education”, Turkey.
The Second Blended Mobility of young mentors consisted of the participation of young people in workshops and work visits. The first training workshop “Guide for peer mentoring process” was lead by Ana BAIANU (Willing, Iaşi), the second workshop “Mentoring and job inclusion for youth with disabilities” was lead by Mihaela IVAN (“Ideas for the Millennium III” Association, Iaşi) and the third workshop “Volunteering with and for young people” was lead by Anastasia LĂIU (AIESEC – Global Volunteer, Global Entrepreneur for young people, Iaşi branch). One of the planned work visits was at the “Ion Holban” Technical College of Iasi, a high school that aims at the recovery, education and professionalisation of the young with physical disabilities.
