Do you want to follow an internship program at TUIASI?

The “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi (TUIASI) is offering its students the opportunity to follow an internship program in one of the institution’s vice-rector offices.

As an intern of TUIASI you may be involved in elaborating promotional materials for the institution, organize visiting tours for foreign students or participate in establishing a computerized university- student collaboration system. You may also participate in administrating the university’s web page or Facebook account and you may have the opportunity to be involved in organizing festivals, conferences or educational fairs. And this is just some activities you may become part of.

Which are the advantages?

As an intern of TUIASI you will have the opportunity to work beside institution management at important projects and accumulate critical experience in your field of work. We are also offering you the opportunity to stand out from your colleagues and be rewarded for your activity.

You are to be granted a special scholarship of 350 Ron/month, that is to be cumulative with the study or social scholarship. The first two weeks represent probation period. You are to be granted a certificate issued by the university at the conclusion of the internship to attest your activity.

What is there to do?

The activity to attend to is to be depending on the vice-rector office you are to be assigned to.

You may choose internship programs from among the following:

  • The Vice-Rector’s Office for International Affairs and Academic Public Relations;
  • The Vice-Rector’s Office for Scientific Research and Innovation
  • The Vice-Rector’s Office for Student Affairs
  • The Vice-Rector’s Office for Computerization
  • The Vice-Rector’s Office for Didactics

What is to be my work program?

You are to benefit from flexible working hours, enabling you to seamlessly blend the professional activity with courses, seminaries and laboratory hours. You are to work for 20 hours a week, out of which 8 at the vice-rector office. The remaining 12 hours are to be spent working in a virtual environment.

What is the internship period?

The internship program is to be followed during a full semester of the 2013 – 2014 academic year. You may choose to enlist to the first semester internship, during the 1st of October and the 15th of February 2014, or to the second semester internship, during the 15th of February – the 30th of June 2014.

How and when am I to enlist?

To participate to the internship you are to present an enlistment file at the Vice-rector Office you want to enlist to during the 6th – the 16th of June, 2013. Should your file be selected, you are to take an interview. This is to be held during the 19th – the 21st of June 2013, with a timetable to be issued later.

What is the enlistment file content?

 The following documents are to be presented in the enlistment file:

  • Internship program enlistment form, where the selected vice-rector office is to be specified
  • Student certificate issued by TUIASI and current academic record;
  • An Europass CV with the candidate’s picture, contact data, as well as data concerning curricular and extracurricular relevant activities.
  • English certificate (optional)

Is it possible to extend my internship period?

If you want to extend your internship period you are to follow again the enlistment and interview phases. If your activity was relevant and appreciated, you may benefit from a recommendation letter issued by the vice rector office of your previous internship.
